BRISTOL, Tenn. — Texas Gov. Rick Perry will be the keynote speaker for the Sullivan County Republican Party’s 2013 Reagan Day Dinner.
The event will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 20 at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Perry’s unsuccessful 2012 GOP presidential bid was backed by Tennessee Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey, R-Blountville.
“We are excited to have Gov. Perry join us for this year’s dinner,” said Keith Parker, Sullivan County Republican Party chairman. “A well known leader in the Republican party, Gov. Perry has led Texas’ strong economy, improved education, and strengthened borders through conservative leadership and fiscal discipline. His record proves he’s one of the nation’s top chief executives and that conservative solutions can address the challenges facing our nation today. He’s sure to be a great keynote speaker and will be a great highlight to what continues to be an amazing event.”
Tickets for the event are $50 per person and may be requested by emailing email@example.com or calling 423-323-8700.
Sponsorships are also available for the event upon request.
Perry has served as the 47th Governor of Texas since 2000. The first graduate of Texas A&M to serve in that office, Perry served in the United States Air Force. During his tenure as governor, Perry encouraged investments in Texas’ economy, education, and security while reducing budgeted spending by over $3 billion, according to a release about the dinner.
