BRISTOL, Tenn. — King University pitcher and Coeburn native Hannah Light has been named to the Daktronics All-Southeast Region second team.
Light, who led Conference Carolinas in wins and strikeouts this past season, added the regional recognition to her conference pitcher of the year and first-team honors.
Light compiled 236 strikeouts and 23 wins for the Conference Carolinas regular-season champion Lady Tornado. She posted a 1.95 earned run average while tossing a league-high 32 complete games, including five shutouts. The junior held opponents to a .237 batting average, which ranked third in the league.
King went 17-3 in conference play and 31-26 overall.
