NASHVILLE — House Speaker Beth Harwell and Senate Speaker Ron Ramsey say they have put the end-of-session speaker spat behind them and are ready to collaborate in the future on issues, just not on political fundraising.
The two got together for the first time since the April 20 end of the legislative session at a State Building Commission last week and later spoke with reporters — Harwell briefly; Ramsey at some length.
Both were asked if they might run for governor in 2018, when Gov. Bill Haslam will not be able to seek a third term.
