Kingsport Parks and Rec plans summer program

Kingsport Parks and Recreation again will hold its summer program for children ages 6 to 14.


The program will run from May 28 through July 18 at five locations throughout the city.


Hours for the program at V.O. Dobbins Sr. Complex and Lynn View Community Center will be 7:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Hours for the program at Lincoln Elementary School, Roosevelt Elementary School and Lee Apartments will be 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.


Parents should register their children at the site they will attend.


Registration will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., May 1 at V.O. Dobbins; from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., May 2, at Lynn View; from 3:30 to 5 p.m., May 8, at Lincoln; 3:30 to 5 p.m., May 9, at Roosevelt and 3:30 to 5 p.m., May 23 at Lee Apartments.


Open registration for any remaining openings will be from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., May 23 at V.O. Dobbins.


The cost of the program is $30 for city residents, and $50 for non-city residents.
