HIGH POINT, N.C. — Conference Carolinas named former Coeburn High School star Hannah Light its pitcher of the year on Saturday.
The King University junior won eight consecutive games to close out the regular season with a 22-13 overall record. In conference play, Light posted a league-leading 12 victories, against just two losses, and an 1.27 ERA.
She led the league in wins, complete games (29), shutouts (5), innings pitched (247 2-3) and strikeouts (207).
The Lady Tornado are playing in the Conference Carolinas tournament in Burlington, N.C., this weekend.
