The Barracuda Swim Club’s Owen Devine and Kobe Evans set personal marks Thursday on day two of the four-day National Age-Group Swimming Association championships in Clearwater, Fla.
Devine, who is from Blountville, finished third in the 14-year-old 50-yard backstroke (25.39) and eighth in the 200 individual medley (2:03.28).
The 12-year-old Evans, who is from Rogersville, was 17th in the 50 backstroke (29.79) and 27th in the 200 individual medley (2:21.95)
“I’m very pleased with the way our swimmers are accepting the challenge at the national level,” coach Chris Coraggio said. “They’re both hitting lifetime best swims. This is a great opportunity for them to gain expereince.”comments powered by Disqus
