Alathea to perform benefit concert for library

April 4th, 2013 8:45 am by staff report

The duo Alathea will perform a benefit concert for the Washington County Public Library on Saturday, April 6, at Crossroads Christian Church in Gray.

Alathea is an acoustic Americana-folk duo and winners of several music and songwriting awards.

“Alathea takes stories from their own lives and weaves them into music that’s instantly relatable. Perhaps such relevance is because the music is born from community,” according the duo’s news release.

All of the proceeds from this concert will go directly to the Children’s Summer Reading Program for the Jonesborough and Gray libraries.

Doors open at noon with the show starting at 1 p.m. Tickets are available at the door for a suggested donation price of $5 per person.  Children 2 and younger are admitted free.
