KINGSPORT — Dobyns-Bennett changed venues and rested all its starters on Sunday, the final day of the Metcalf 2k13 soccer tournament,  but the hosts still managed a 2-0 win over Jefferson County.

Matches were scheduled to be played at Eastman Park at Horse Creek but were moved to Indian Highland Park because of rain. The halves were shortened to 30 minutes.

D-B got its reserves some valuable time on the pitch against Jefferson County, with Seth Douthat scoring in the 35th minute and junior varsity reserve Colin Shone netting an insurance goal eight minutes from full time.

Seymour, boasting a 4-0-0 record over the weekend, was crowned the tournament champion. D-B was second and Oak Ridge third.
