Bristol Motor Speedway isn't the only place for racing this week. Kingsport Speedway and Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap also are getting in on the action.
Kingsport Speedway hosts Racing Electronics Night at the Races on Friday, and Volunteer Speedway kicks off its 40th year on dirt with the 12th annual Spring Thaw event on Friday and Saturday.
Racing Electronics Night at Kingsport features five divisions: Late Model Stock (60 laps), Street Stock (30 laps), Pure 4 (25 laps), Legends (15 laps) and Rookie Pure 4 (12 laps).
Friday's action at The Gap features a $4,000-to-win Super Late Model 40-lap event as well as Modified Hobby racing. Saturday's highlight is the 12th annual Spring Thaw, which pays $10,000 to the Super Late Model winner. The Crate Late Models also compete in a 30-lap event.
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series racers Ty Dillon and Joey Coulter and Rick Hendrick Motorsports Development driver Chase Elliott (son of 1988 NASCAR Cup Series champion Bill Elliott) are set to run at Volunteer Speedway.
