GREENEVILLE — Tennessee and Virginia Tech will renew a longstanding rivalry when the teams resurrect the Hokie-Smokey Baseball Classic on April 16 at Tusculum College's Pioneer Park.
The game will be the 17th meeting between the Volunteers and Hokies, but the first since 2001 when the programs faced off at Hunter Wright Stadium in Kingsport. Virginia Tech holds a 9-7 advantage in the all-time series, which began in 1911.
Tickets will go on sale March 18 at the Pioneer Park Ticket Office, located at the stadium. The office is open from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Reserved seats are $20 each, and general admission is $10 per seat.
