KINGSPORT — Award-winning, top-selling and legendary musical artists — Chris Tomlin, Hunter Hayes, Gavin DeGraw and Chicago — will headline the Fun Fest 2013 Sunset Concert Series.

Tomlin will kick off the series on Thursday, July 18, followed by Hayes on Friday, July 19. The festival finale will be Chicago and DeGraw on Saturday, July 20.

Fun Fest runs from July 12-20.

The Thursday night concert is the second Contemporary Christian Concert at the Sunset Series on the main stage. The evening will open with Big Daddy Weave, who has been climbing the charts fast with the single, “Redeemed” off the 2012 album “Love Come to Life.”

Tomlin, the headliner for this year’s Contemporary Christian Concert, became the fourth Christian music artist ever to garner the No. 1 position on the Billboard 200 charts. Additionally, Tomlin has earned 10 No. 1 radio singles, three Grammy nominations, 18 Dove Awards, one platinum and three gold albums. He is best known for his singles, “Forever,” “Indescribable” and “How Great is Our God.”

Sponsors for the Thursday night concert are Phil Bachman Honda, Carter-Trent Funeral Homes, Tele-Optics Inc. and radio sponsor, 88.3 WCQR.

The Friday Night Concert kicks off with The Henningsens, who have just released their first song, “American Beautiful.” This family trio also wrote several songs for The Band Perry’s debut album.

Hayes, the headliner for Friday night, was named 2012 New Artist of the Year by the Country Music Association and Male Country Artist of the Year at the Teen Choice Awards. In October 2011, Hayes released his self-titled debut album, which included the Top 15 country single, “Storm Warning,” and the No. 1 singles “Wanted” and “Somebody’s Heartbreak.” This year, he was nominated for three Grammys and six Academy of Country Music awards. He is now touring with Carrie Underwood.

Sponsors for the Friday night concert are American Electric Power, AGC Glass Co. North America, Domtar and radio sponsor, WXBQ.

Fun Fest 2013 will end the week with two great entertainers. Singer, songwriter and musician DeGraw will open the evening with hits such as “In Love With a Girl,” “I Don’t Want to Be” and “Chariot.”

The night will end with one of the longest-running and most successful rock bands in history, Chicago. Chicago has earned 22 gold, 18 platinum and eight multiplatinum albums since its debut in the late ’60s. The band’s biggest hits include “If You Leave Me Now,” “Saturday in the Park” and “You’re the Inspiration.”

DeGraw has enjoyed success since launching his career in 2003 with his debut album, “Chariot,” which sold more than a million copies, earned platinum certification and yielded three hit singles. He followed that with his self-titled second album, which debuted at No. 1 on the digital sales chart and at No. 7 on Billboard’s Top 200 album chart in 2008.

Eastman Chemical Co. is the sponsor for the Saturday Night Concert. Radio sponsor for the event is WQUT.
