School principal killed when car crashes into West Knoxville restaraunt

Teh Knoxvilel News Sentinel reports a 58-year-old Bledsoe County school principal affectionately known as “Miss Debbie” was killed Thursday when a car slammed into a West Knoxville eatery.

The Knoxville driver of the car, reached by phone today, apologetically referred questions about the accident to his lawyer, but added, “I’m just so sorry for the family.”

Deborah Thompson of Crossville was killed in the 2:30 p.m. crash in The Gallery shopping center, 7240 Kingston Pike, according to Knoxville Police Department spokesman Darrell DeBusk.
