KINGSPORT — In A Mother’s Eye Unique Photography has opened at 334 Commerce St. in downtown Kingsport.
Owner and photographer Miranda Fawn Harris has been documenting special moments in time with her camera for eight years, but now she’s opened her own studio.
“God has blessed me and opened doors with this amazing space so I can focus on other areas of my art and have the ability to offer my clients both studio settings as well as on location,” Harris said.
She specializes in both local and destination weddings, as well as pregnancy, newborns, high school senior sessions and family photography.
She said her style of photography is fresh and modern, and she knows how to capture those candid shots that make a special moment in time last forever.
“A single image can say so much about who we are and how we love,” she said. “I want to capture the joy and innocence of life’s irreplaceable moments and turn them into art that you can treasure.”
Harris is originally from Scott County, Tenn., and moved to the Tri-Cites in 2001 to attend East Tennessee State University. She earned her Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) degree from ETSU. She also underwent the Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) program at the University of Tennessee, where her minor was in photography.
In A Mother’s Eye held a ribbon cutting in February, and to celebrate the new studio, a formal red carpet open house will be held March 2, sponsored by Brandy Mill and Cross Creek Apartments.
In A Mother’s Eye is now booking weddings and other special occasions for 2013 and 2014. For more information, visit www.inamotherseye.com or call (423) 773-2904.
