Update: 2 Chattanooga men charged in Johnson City armed robbery, police chase

Police have released the names of two men charged with robbing a Johnson City pizza restaurant on Monday and caught in an Interstate 26 chase through North Carolina and Unicoi County later that night.

Martell Jones, 26, 3818 Dorris St., Chattanooga, and Ledarius Owens, 27, 4005 Highland Ave., Chattanooga, were arrested after they were pursued into Unicoi County by Madison County, N.C., deputies, police said in a news release.

Johnson City police said evidence located in the vehicle connected the two men to the robbery at Little Caesar’s Pizza on North Roan Street. Warrants were obtained for both men for aggravated robbery.
