New Business Focus: Which Wich opens on Stone Drive

February 6th, 2013 10:22 pm by staff report

KINGSPORT — Which Wich Superior Sandwiches has opened at 2600 East Stone Drive, Suite 70, in the Kingsport Pavilion.

Founded by Jeff Sinelli, founder and former CEO of Genghis Grill, Which Wich offers more than 50 varieties of customizable sandwiches, from the signature Wicked — loaded with five meats (turkey, ham, roast beef, pepperoni, and bacon) and three cheeses — to unique items such as “Thank You Turkey” with stuffing and cranberry sauce. The Which Wich menu also includes vegetarian options and several healthy sandwiches with less than 400 calories each.

Extras include signature house chips, hand-dipped shakes and homemade cookies.

Guests use red Sharpies to mark up pre-printed menus on sandwich bags. They select a sandwich from one of 10 categories, then choose the type of bread, size, cheese, spreads, and vegetables. The sandwiches are prepared to guests’ exact specifications and delivered in personalized sandwich bags. After they’ve finished their sandwiches, guests are encouraged to draw on their bags with the same red Sharpies and hang their “artwork” on the community wall.

“Which Wich is not just a sandwich shop; it’s a community,” the company’s website says. “Which Wich locations feature music and newspaper stations, free Wi-Fi, and a community wall. Listen to some tunes or catch up on the day’s news. Post a message or display your sandwich bag ‘artwork’ on the community wall. You can also like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, upload a photo to one our Flickr galleries, or share a video on Vimeo.”

The Kingsport store manager is Melissa Brooks. The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday. Catering is available.
