BRISTOL, Tenn. — C.J. Good scored 22 points and Will Adams added 19 in Science Hill's 84-73 win over Father Henry Carr in the sixth-place game of the 30th Arby's Classic at Viking Hall on Monday.
The Hilltoppers outscored the Crusaders 33-14 in the final quarter.
Calvin Songster added 13 points and grabbed five rebounds and Reed Hayes had 12 points and three assists for Science Hill, which hit 29 of 34 shots total from the free throw line. Good was 10-for-10 at the line and Adams 11-for-12.
Dillon Brooks poured in a game-high 23 points for Father Carr, which outrebounded the 'Toppers 31-18. Tanveer Bhullar scored 20 points and Christian Hewitt added 10 for the Crusaders.
In the fifth-place game, the shooters were as cold as the weather outside. Oak Ridge topped Dobyns-Bennett 48-33.
The Wildcats shot 17-of-47 (36 percent) from the field, the Indians just 9-of-51 (17.6 percent).
Cory Fagan, with 13 points, and Isaac Merian, with 11, were Oak Ridge's high scorers. Jaylin Henderson snagged five steals to go with his nine points.
Alantez Johnson and A.J. Anderson led the Indians with nine and eight points, respectively. Josh Holt hauled down a whopping 13 rebounds for D-B.
In a seesaw consolation matchup that opened the tournament's final day, Abingdon held off former Southwest District rival Gate City 73-69.
Mack Owens' double-double powered the Falcons. The big man dominated with 30 points and 12 rebounds — eight on the offensive end. Teammate Josh Hess had 26 points and five boards.
The Blue Devils placed three in double-figure scoring. Dylan Jenkins shot 10-for-15 from the field and finished with 27 points, Andy Arnold hit 8 of 10 shots from the field and 6 of 6 from the free throw line for 22 points, and Luke Ervin closed with 18 points.
