KINGSPORT — Elizabethton was a tall and confident basketball team headed into Thursday night’s New People’s Bank Holiday Classic first round matchup with Sullivan South. But the Rebels found a way to boost their own confidence.
“When you hit shots, it hides some of the other stuff,” said South coach Mark Pendleton, whose squad erased a 10-point halftime deficit with a third quarter outside shooting spree, going on to topple Elizabethton 59-50.
Guard Michael Harr scored 17 points to lead the Rebels, including 11 points during the comeback.
