Before opening your door to allow anyone inside, make sure they are who they claim to be or the situation could become dangerous.
It happened this week at a Washington County residence when at least two people gained access to the home by impersonating utility workers.
Washington County Sheriff’s Lt. Doug Gregg said the elderly residents were distracted by one worker who wanted to show them where some tree trimming work needed to be done.
