• KINGSPORT PARKS AND REC ADULT BASKETBALL registration is being held until 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 2. Leagues offered include Men’s Open, Men’s Industrial and Church. Entry fee is $300 per team $12 non-resident fee for players who live outside city limits). There will also be a Women’s 3-on-3 league with an entry fee of $75 per team. Football
• THE DOBYNS-BENNETT QUARTERBACK CLUB will meet each week during the football season every Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the fieldhouse. Meetings includes a talk from a guest speakers and the announcement of the players of the week. Anyone is welcome to attend.

• THS TENNESSEE CRUSADERS will hold tryouts for prospective players on Saturday, Nov. 3 at  11 a.m. at the Boy’s & Girl’s Club, 2210 Market Street, Johnson City, TN. There is a $25 tryout fee. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Boy’s & Girl’s Club. This is for players 18 years old and above.

• YOUTH OLYMPICS at the V.O. Dobbins Senior Complex starting Oct. 23. Youths between the ages of 12-17 (18 if still in high school) will compete each Tuesday night at 5 p.m. for six weeks in a variety of recreational tournaments, including ping pong, basketball, tennis, billiards, cornhole and air hockey.
