WISE — The University of Virginia’s College at Wise will host a regional Veterans Expo from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17, at the college’s David J. Prior Convocation Center.
The event is designed to connect veterans and their families to area resources and service providers.
Breakout discussion sessions will address veterans issues such as combat stress, benefits, employment, credit counseling and health care.
All veterans, military retirees, surviving spouses and family members are invited to the free event.

Auxiliary aids and services during the event are available upon request to individuals with disabilities.
The event will provide an opportunity for veterans and their families in Southwest Virginia to benefit from the exhibits of community service providers, health care professionals, Veterans Administration benefits organizations, education and training providers, business start-up assistance organizations, and employers.
The Veterans Expo will also include health screenings as well as assistance with writing résumés and job interview skills.

Some of the veterans services may require a DD-214 document and/or veterans identification.
