Science Hill was the only area team that had any movement in The Associated Press high school football polls released Monday, and it was in the wrong direction.
The Hilltoppers (7-0), despite shutting down Daniel Boone 17-0, fell a spot to No. 6, switching positions with Brentwood in Class 6A in Tennessee. Dobyns-Bennett (7-0) remained fourth in 6A, just two points back from No. 3 Whitehaven.
Boone (5-2) was not penalized for its loss, holding firm at No. 8 in 5A.
Other ranked teams from Region 1 included Sullivan North (7-1), which kept its seventh slot in 3A one spot above Elizabethton (6-2), unchanged from last week, and Hampton (6-1), which stayed at No. 7 in 2A.
In Virginia, Clintwood (5-1) held onto the second spot in Group A, and John Battle (7-0), coming off its history-defying win over Gate City on Friday, remained at No. 4.
