1st Annual Tri-Cities Cornhole Tournament

Abingdon, VA- Abingdon All-Sports, unveiled plans this week for the 1st Annual Tri-Cities Cornhole Championship Tournament on October 20, 2012 in Abingdon, VA.
 
Registration is now open online at www.abingdonallsports.com for what is expected to be one of the largest tournaments offered in the Southwest Virginia/Northwest Tennessee area with total prize monies exceeding $2,500.  This year’s tournament will have three levels of competition that will accommodate all levels of amateur and professional cornhole players.  The tournament will be divided into three levels of play: Singles Division; Doubles Division, and Family Fun Division.
 
Singles and Doubles divisions will be double-elimination, allowing more opportunities for cash prizes. Each division will be governed by American Cornhole Association rules and regulations.  Boards will open at 9 a.m. and tournament play for these divisions will begin at 10 a.m. on Remsburg Drive in Abingdon, VA (near the Abingdon Farmers Market).
 
Grand prize/1st place for the Single Division will be $300; 2nd prize $150, and 3rd prize $125, and 4th prize $100. Consolation Bracket: 1st Prize $75; 2nd Prize $50. Entry fee is $30.
 
Doubles Division Grand Prize/1st place will be $600, 2nd prize $300, 3rd prize $175, and 4th prize $150.  Consolation Bracket: 1st Prize $100; 2nd Prize $65. Entry fee is $50.
 
Teams in the Family Fun Division must include 1 adult and 1 child under 12. First, second, and third prizes will be awarded with the Grand Prize being a weekend get-away worth $350; 2nd prize will be a $75 Cracker Barrel gift card; 3rd prize a $25 Wal-Mart gift card. Family entry fee is $25. Tournament play for this division starts at 1:00 p.m.
