Kingsport Police Department
A 20-year-old woman, who had spoken with police two days prior at the hospital, admitted to lying about being raped. She was arrested and charged with filing a false report. She was also charged with underage consumption, as the officer taking the original report at Holston Valley noted she was intoxicated at the time. The woman said she had lied, "to keep a friend from getting in trouble for drinking."
Hawkins County Sheriff's Office
A deputy was dispatched to a fight on Stanley Valley Road, locating two men standing in the front yard. Each were "covered in mud" with cuts to there faces and neck, and admitted to hitting each other. They were both arrested.
Police visited a camper on Long Bend Road due to a man allegedly, "exposing himself." Upon arrival a man on the camper's porch—who had a strong odor of alcohol—began yelling at police and was advised to calm down. Another man then stepped out of the camper and began cursing the deputies. Each were ultimately arrested; the first for public intoxication, the second for disorderly conduct.
Police responded to a vehicle crash on McKinney Chapel Road, where a car had struck a mailbox and traveled up an embankment. The driver reportedly spoke with slurred speech and was, "very confused about her surroundings." She was arrested and charged with a third offense of DUI, fourth violation of driving on a revoked license. Later at the jail, a female correctional officer observed the woman remove 20 individually packaged Suboxone from a cavity of her body. She was additionally charged with possession of schedule III drugs.
Sullivan County Sheriff's Office
A gray Lincoln was allegedly traveling recklessly on Highway 75. Dispatch was advised, "the left side of the tag says Jesus."
Dispatch was alerted to a verbal domestic dispute on Rock Springs Road, where a male told dispatchers his girlfriend has blood on her wrists. The female told police she had attempted to injure herself in the past, but this incident, "was just to get him upset, it's fake blood."
