KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan is scheduled to fly into East Tennessee to attend a fundraiser.
Ryan's only public appearance will occur when he arrives at McGhee Tyson Airport in Alcoa Thursday morning. He then goes to Knoxville to attend a private fundraiser.
It will be the first political event in Tennessee for Ryan since he was named to the GOP ticket by presidential nominee Mitt Romney in August.
