Food Pantry offering food assistance to individuals and families

The Food Bank announces the following sites for their mobile Food Pantry Distributions offering food assistance to individuals and families for the end of July:

July 19 – 11:00 a.m. – Open Door Tabernacle, 70 Tabernacle Road, Chuckey, TN 37641
July 19 – 1:30 p.m. – South Central Ruritan, 2634 Hwy 107, Chuckey, TN 37641
July 19 – 5:00 p.m. – Liberty Baptist Church, 112 Walnut Hill Road, Bristol, TN 37620
July 26 – 10:30 a.m. – St. James Community Center, 3220 St. James Road, Greeneville, TN 37743
July 26 – 12:30 p.m. – Camp Creek VFD, 700 Greystone Road, Greeneville, TN 37743

Individuals and families who need food assistance and reside in or near these areas may receive a box of food. No pre-registration is required. Participants should bring some form of identification listing their current address, a sturdy container for the food and be prepared to transport the food from the Mobile Food Pantry to their vehicle. One box is given per household address. Each household that would like a box needs to have one family member present, cannot accept food for another household, and may receive one box of food per month through the mobile pantry.

Students and families of Mountain View School, Johnson City or Sullivan Central High School, Sullivan County may contact the Food Bank at (423)477-4053 for information about Mobile Food Pantry distributions at these schools.
