Troutdale brings fine dining to Hale Springs Inn

A multi-million dollar restoration/renovation has helped preserve the Hale Springs Inn's historic authenticity and charm.

The Troutdale name has become regionally associated with the best in local cuisine - delectable dishes prepared by the finest chefs in charming locations like restored Victorian homes. Troutdale currently has six properties, and the Troutdale at Historic Hale Springs Inn in Rogersville, Tenn., is proving to be every bit as appealing as its other locales.

Located in the heart of downtown Rogersville, the Rogersville Heritage Association has taken Hale Springs Inn through a multi-million dollar restoration/renovation that has preserved its historic authenticity and charm. It features nine guest rooms, McKinney’s Tavern (a quaint, pub-style bar area), and the upscale Troutdale Restaurant.

Locally-renowned chef Jimmy Ellis is a culinary graduate of the Art Institute in Atlanta. Formerly the Executive Chef for the Hoyt House in Athens, Ga., Chef Jimmy brings a unique style of Southern cuisine that has French and Mediterranean influences.

The Troutdale lunch menu includes a daily Blue Plate special, an all-you-can-eat Soup, Salad and Potato Bar, as well as anassortment of sandwiches - all for around $10 or less. The dinner menu offers scrumptious "Petite Bites" like Maryland Crab Cake, Big Farms Lamb Shish Kabob, and Pecan Smoked N.C. Trout, in addition to heartier "Chef's Creations" such as Hickory Smoked Pork Chop, Cedar Plank Salmon, and JEM Farm Spinach Ravioli.

The Hale Springs Inn also offers The Spa! Single or couples massages are available, as well as facials and waxing. Make a weekend of it - come enjoy a getaway in the beautiful Inn with fine cuisine and pampering at the Spa - all right here in the hills of Tennessee! Additionally, the beautiful facilities including a courtyard with gazebo provide the perfect setting for weddings, banquets and corporate functions. The restaurant is open Tuesday through Saturday, and The Spa is open by appointment only. For information or reservations, call 423-272-5171 or 1-877-222-1616. Or visit online at
