March 8th, 2012 9:09 am by staff report

On Wednesday law enforcement officials conducted a mass arrest of 29 alleged drug offenders in Wise County.

Arrests were conducted by officers with the Wise County Sheriff's Office, Virginia State Police, Appalachia Police Department, Big Stone Gap Police Department and Southwest Virginia regional Drug Task Force.

"Our local law enforcement agencies have worked hard over the years to collaborate on drug related investigation in our county," Elkins said in a press release.
