Kingsport motorcyclist killed in JC crash; charges pending
Charges are pending in a fatal Friday afternoon crash, according to police.
Just after noon Friday Johnson City police were called to North Roan Street, near Swanee Drive, where officers found a southbound motorcycle had collided with a vehicle traveling north on North Roan. Police said the vehicle was in the left turn lane and the driver was attempting to turn left onto Swanee.
The motorcyclist, identified as Michael J. McLaughlin, 39, 437 High Ridge Road, Kingsport, was taken to Johnson City Medical Center, where he died, police said.
