The recent revelation from East Tennessee State University that a $20,000 promotional prize contest was not insured is prompting the athletics department to scrutinize their contracts, according to the athletic director.
ETSU student Jamaal Hundley shot a layup, a free throw, a 3-pointer and a half-court shot for a $20,000 prize or a car during a timeout of the ETSU men’s basketball game against Belmont Monday night.
This promotion was not insured by any company, though it was supposed to have been and had been in the past.
