Rogersville Prayer Breakfast set for Feb. 2

January 24th, 2012 3:04 am by Staff Report

The biweekly Men’s Prayer Breakfast met for the second time Thursday in Rogersville for a light breakfast, coffee, socializing, Scripture and prayer. Approximately 40 to 45 men showed up for the event, and over half were first-time attendees.

“If we get the people who came to the first meeting to come back, and we keep all these from the second meeting, we will soon be looking for a larger venue to host our event,” said event co-planner Dr. Blaine Jones. The next Prayer Breakfast is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 2, at Price Public School on Hasson Street in Rogersville.

All men are invited to attend. Sausage biscuits, doughnuts and coffee have become the staples of the breakfast and are available at 6 a.m., with the prayer program beginning promptly at 6:30 a.m. The program will be finished by 7 a.m. for attendees to be out and on their way for their busy day. For more information call Jones at 272-3150 or event co-planner Mark DeWitte at 754-0182.
