Update: Police identify, arrest parents of young girl found in Jonesborough ditch
A neighbor helped authorities locate the parents of a young girl found in a ditch in Jonesborough early this morning, resulting in both parents' arrests.
The neighbor went though a road block where authorities were stopping traffic to show the girl's photograph in hopes of identifying her, authorities said. At first, the neighbor did not recognize the girl, but after thinking about the photo, he returned to the road block and told officers where they could find the parents.
Officers went to 128 Sycamore Drive in Jonesborough and confirmed the girl's identity. Both parents were taken into custody.
