November 30th, 2011 1:18 pm by Staff Report

The first Holiday Scrapbook - featuring your favorite holiday traditions, memories or recipes - publishes next week so all entries for it must be received by noon, Friday, Dec. 2.

Send entries to:

Or mail or deliver them to: Kingsport Times-News, Attn: Carmen Musick, 701 Lynn Garden Drive, Kingsport, Tenn. 37662.

Whether it's your annual trip to see the Santa Train, a family gathering, holiday attraction or favorite family recipe, you are invited to share your favorite holiday tradition and/or your favorite holiday memories with us.

Simply send a letter or email telling us (in 300 words or less) about your favorite holiday tradition, memory or recipe or send a picture illustrating it. We'll compile all the submissions sent in from readers near and far, and publish them in Holiday Scrapbook.

Other Holiday Scrapbooks will feature:

Holiday Pets on Parade (due by Friday, Dec. 9): Photos of your pets all dressed up for the holidays.

Themed Christmas Trees (due by Friday, Dec. 9): Photos and stories about your themed tree and how it got started

Home for the Holidays (due by Friday, Dec. 16): Photos and stories showing what you love about being 'home for the holidays' - be it family times and activities; local events; hometown decorations, parades and tree lighting ceremonies; holiday decorations in your neighborhood or scenic shots of the region as the holidays near.

Sunday Scrapbook is designed to showcase the everyday moments of friends and neighbors. So, throughout the year, please take time to share your favorite photos from campouts and outings, family vacations, special celebrations, weather events, and all the fabulous people in your lives. We can't wait to see them!!
