JONESBOROUGH — After dodging six bullets, all Joe Ganger wanted was the final shot.
Ganger got his wish, knocking down a pair of foul shots with 1.2 seconds on the clock to give David Crockett an improbable 51-50 victory over rival Daniel Boone in the loser’s bracket of the Hardee’s Invitational on Friday.
In other action, Cherokee came through with a pivotal 10-0 run in the final two minutes to beat Sullivan South 55-49 in the day’s first loser’s bracket contest.
South (1-3) will face Boone (2-2) in the seventh-place game Saturday. Cherokee (2-1) and Crockett (2-3) will face off for fifth place.comments powered by Disqus
