Lee's Graham logs 487 rushing yards, six touchdowns, but Generals fall to Wise Central

WISE — Lee High’s Tyler Graham out-rushed Thomas Jones Friday night.

And somehow, it still wasn’t enough.

The Generals running back rushed for 487 yards and six touchdowns at Carl Smith Stadium, but a point-after touchdown kick by Wise Central’s Kyle Cantrell settled the Warriors’ 51-50 victory. If it holds up to review, Graham’s yardage stands as the third best single-game total in VHSL history behind Damon Boone of Class AAA West Springfield (500 yards) and Hayes Page of Nelson County (491).

Powell Valley’s Jones logged a then-state record 462 yards against J.I. Burton 17 years earlier — to the night.
