KINGSPORT — For the eighth time this season, Nate Monteith found his way to Victory Lane at Kingsport Speedway last Friday night.
Monteith started fifth, but didn’t stay there for long. He finally wrestled the lead away from Daniel Pope II on lap 27, and stayed out front the rest of the way to extend his points lead in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Late Model points standings.
The Blountville native had to survive a handful of restarts as the laps wound down, but his No. 44 machine was clearly the class of the field.
