You might not recognize her name, but no doubt you’ve heard Barbara Bailey Hutchison’s voice in commercials for McDonald’s, Hallmark and Heinz.
Local audiences can put a face with her name when the Grammy Award-winning singer makes a stop at Bristol’s Paramount Center for the Arts on July 8 as part of its David Caldwell Tunes @ Noon concert series. Admission is a $5 donation at the door.
A native of Detroit, Mich., Hutchison launched her career in music while attending Michigan State University, where she gained a loyal following performing in the local listening rooms and music clubs. She began touring colleges and universities throughout the United States and was voted “Best Solo Performer,” “Best Acoustic Performer” and “Best Female Performer” in a national magazine poll.
