KINGSPORT — Sullivan North has built a reputation on deadly perimeter shooting.
But on Friday night, the Raiders earned a Three Rivers Conference victory by punishing Elizabethton in the paint.
Dylan Price slashed his way to 16 points and big man Chase Arnold added 13 as the Raiders upended the Cyclones 63-54 on senior night.
North coach Mitch Cox said his team’s newfound interior attack has come about because the Raiders have cooled off from behind the arc since Christmas break.
Dribble penetration and nifty interior passing paid dividends on Friday, allowing North (16-10, 4-6) to shoot 48 percent from the floor against the Cyclones.
