WEBER CITY – Scott County authorities say a Gate City man protesting the sale of a synthetic marijuana product known as K2 drove a large truck through the front window of an incense shop on Friday morning.

Billy Gene McClellan, 49, of Gate City is facing charges of felony property damage over $1,000 and reckless driving after he drove his Ford F-350 Super Duty pickup truck through the storefront of Incense and Candles on Highway 23 in Weber City.

The store was closed at the time of the crash, which occurred at 9:08 a.m., and no one was inside.

At about 10 a.m. McClellan was being treated within an ambulance at the scene, while the truck was still inside the building.
