Three people have been arrested, one charged with DUI, after a pickup truck crashed into a Kingsport residence on Saturday evening.
It occurred at 1117 Fairview Ave. Police were called to the scene shortly after 5 p.m., finding a 1995 Ford F150 sitting in the yard.
Three people were allegedly sitting on the ground across from the accident. They said they were traveling south on Fairview when the vehicle left the roadway, struck the home's porch and came to a stop.
Witnesses identified the driver as Christopher J. Walker, 37, of 112 S. Church St. apartment C, Rogersville, Tenn. Police say he had bloodshot eyes and spoke with slurred speech. He allegedly submitted a breath test, revealing his alcohol content to be .22.
Walker was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. His passengers, Jonathan J. Allen, 33, of 1165 Highway 70, Rogersville, and Sharon F. Dykes, 41, of Reno Street in Rogersville, were arrested and charged with public drunkenness.
