August 17th, 2010 11:49 am by Rain Smith

Kingsport police arrested a Church Hill man on Monday night after he allegedly forcibly fondled a coworker outside a Kingsport restaurant.

According to a police report, the incident occurred in the parking lot of 1221 E. Stone Drive. An employee told officers that she went to her car at about 9:30 p.m. to get a pack of cigarettes.

The woman claims that while getting into her car she was approached from behind by Heriberto Torres Sosa, 18. Sosa allegedly forced himself on the victim, rubbing his hands all over her body as she, "told him no and attempted to push away."

The report says the woman exited her vehicle, with Sosa sitting down in the driver's seat and attempting to pull her to him. The alleged victim then returned to inside the restaurant and called police.

Officers arrived to find Sosa, of 106 Fairview Ave., apartment No. 18, working in the kitchen. He was arrested and charged with sexual battery and transported to the city jail.
