Police investigate Peeping Tom reports in Sullivan County

August 10th, 2010 12:49 pm by Rain Smith

Police in Sullivan County received two separate reports of Peeping Toms on Monday – with one suspect allegedly propositioning a woman before exposing himself, while the other claimed to be looking for a dog.

As of Tuesday morning the incidents remain under investigation with no charges filed.

According to reports at the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office, one call came from a residence on Packing House Road in Blountville. The victim claims that at about 9:45 a.m. a man walked up to her home and propositioned her for sex.

"She stated that he asked her if she wanted to see his penis and he pulled it out," reads the deputy's report.

The woman claims the man left her home, only to return a few minutes later. This time he was allegedly spotted at her bedroom window, looking in and masturbating.

The police report says there are no other witnesses to the alleged incident, but does contain the name and address of a suspect.

The other Peeping Tom report filed Monday came from a home on Mount Holston Road in Bluff City. A juvenile girl said she was preparing for school at about 5:50 a.m. when she heard faint coughing outside the bathroom window.

The girl woke up her father, who allegedly went outside to find a man standing at the bathroom window. The report says the man, "turned and quickly walked away," claiming he was looking for his dog.

The deputy notes speaking with a suspect who admitted being in the yard. He again said that he was looking for his dog.

Police say they gathered both statements and evidence from the location of the incident.
