July 12th, 2010 1:45 pm by Rain Smith

An estimated 1,500 golf balls have been reported stolen from a driving range in Kingsport.

On Saturday the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office took a report on the suspected theft at K & G Golf, 550 Rock Springs Road. The owner believes the thefts have been occurring over the last several months, because, "it would take several times to collect that many."

While there are no suspects at this time, the driving range owner provided the description of a suspicious vehicle. It has allegedly been spotted on multiple occasions by a Times-News delivery driver working the area.

The 1,500 balls are valued at approximately $500.
