Senior Airman Benjamin D. White worked by the motto “that others may live” in his job as a part of an elite pararescue U.S. Air Force unit in Afghanistan.
That attitude carried over into the 24-year-old Erwin man’s home life, too, according to his loved ones.
“He was an awful good boy. He always wanted to go to the Air Force. That’s what he set out to do, and that’s what he did,” White’s grandfather Curtis White said Friday morning.
