Hours after jail release, man wrecks car, tries to steal truck, gets stuck, flees on foot

According to The Tennessean, police are looking for a Clarksville man charged with trying to steal a truck but instead wrecking it into a gas pump, just hours after he was released from jail.

At about 8:50 p.m. Tuesday, Jon Douglas Turley II was driving his car on Trenton Road and struck a mailbox in the 2200 block of Trenton Road, according to police reports.

Turley kept going, driving through a fence and hitting a parked car. He then drove to a nearby church and abandoned the car in the parking lot, according to an accident report by Officer J.D. Bushell
