School director calls behavior of teacher accused of having sex with students 'flagrant, egregious'

February 17th, 2010 12:00 am by Bob Fowler

Teacher Megan Baumann engaged in "improper sexual acts" with more than one male student at Clinton High School, the Anderson County Schools director alleged Tuesday. Director Larry Foster in a letter to the 27-year-old social studies teacher called her behavior "flagrant, egregious and reprehensible."

Foster's letter notified Baumann that he's seeking her dismissal "for improper conduct and insubordination." She has 30 days to request a hearing on the charges.

Baumann, a Powell resident, was suspended without pay Feb. 4 after she was confronted with allegations that she'd had sex with a student.
