USA Today is reporting that Hulu is exploring a premium pricing package.
Less than two years ago, Hulu.com launched with a novel online strategy. Instead of just short video clips, it offered full TV shows and movies.
Skeptical tech analysts initially wondered if people would sit still at their PCs for that long. The answer, increasingly, appears to be yes: In December people watched more than 1 billion videos on the service — its best showing ever, according to new data from measurement service ComScore Media Metrix.
Kilar says a free version of Hulu will always exist but that the company is exploring premium pricing. He wouldn't give a time frame.
