Police investigating possible second suspect in death of Roanoke toddler

February 2nd, 2010 12:00 am by Amanda Codispoti

According to the Roanoke Times, Roanoke police and FBI agents are investigating whether a second person was involved in the death of Aveion Lewis, according to court papers.
A search warrant filed today in Roanoke City Circuit Court says the toddler's stepfather, Brandon Lockett, has made statements about a person who received Aveion's body for disposal. Lockett also provided a cell phone number.
Someone who uses that cell phone number has also used an e-mail address that police discovered on a computer seized from Lockett's home, the search warrant says.
