No bond for former Bristol nursing home aide accused of sexually assaulting patients

December 11th, 2009 12:00 am by Staff Report

The Bristol Herald Courier is reporting that a circuit court judge has denied bond  for a former nursing home aide charged with sexually assaulting the elderly patients.

James Wright, 34, faces four counts of aggravated sexual battery against four different patients. He has been in jail since his arrest in August. His trial is scheduled in January.

arry Proctor, Wright’s lawyer, argued that he should be eligible for bond as a citizen with a long work history and ties to the area, and no prior criminal convictions or charges.  Commonwealth’s Attorney Jerry Wolfe argued that the violent crime Wright is charged with carries a presumption that bond should be denied.
