Traffic on Interstate 26 began moving again after the road was closed for more than one hour following a two-vehicle collision at the Gray Exit.
One person from each vehicle was transported to Johnson City Medical Center, according to the Johnson City Police Department.
An officer said the accident occurred when a vehicle traveling west on the interstate crossed over into the eastbound lanes and hit another vehicle head-on shortly after 9 p.m. Police suspect the westbound vehicle may have hydroplaned on the wet roadway. It was raining at the time of the accident.
