For the second time in as many years, Cocke County General Sessions Court Judge John A. Bell is facing misconduct charges filed by the Tennessee Court of the Judiciary.
Bell is accused of violating ethics rules, as well as committing actions that could amount to felonies. A criminal investigation has been launched into his conduct, officials said.
Bell, who was first elected in 1998, has been accused of witness tampering and official misconduct, according to a list of administrative charges filed by the Court of the Judiciary last week.
